Thomas Lyon, CPA Retired, and Cheryl Lyon, CPA, PFS formed Lyon Capital Strategies in 1996 in Akron, Ohio. The firm’s services include individual and business tax preparation, investments, retirement plans for small businesses, employees’ education and seminars, retirement planning, rollovers, IRAs, SEPs, Simples and 401Ks.
Thomas Lyon has nearly 30 years of experience in corporate finance, tax and investments. He was the Chief Financial Officer for Group Midwest in Canton, Ohio for 20 years, a managing accountant for a regional CPA firm, and a principal in Lyon & Lyon, CPAs.
Cheryl Lyon has extensive experience as an accounting and tax professional, including personal financial planning and working almost exclusively with small businesses and their owners. After 10 years as a staff accountant with a regional accounting firm, Cheryl opened her own accounting and tax business in 1995 in Akron, Ohio.
While Cheryl is a Certified Public Accountant, she is also an advisor representative with Lyon Capital Strategies, LLC. In addition, she holds the title of Personal Financial Specialist, which she received from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Thomas earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and holds the title of Certified Public Accountant from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
